IBO Player and ORA Player do the same core job - they turn a Smart TV into an IPTV box by loading your customer's playlist. But they differ in devices, activation and cost, and picking the right one saves you support headaches. Here's how to choose.
Both are lightweight apps that run on Smart TVs and Android devices. Both take a one-time activation (tied to the device's MAC address), after which the customer just adds their playlist URL. Both work with all the servers we supply, including Starshare, Opplex and the Mega OTT panels.
IBO Player (and IBO Player Pro / IBO XPlayer) has the widest install base and is available on most Samsung, LG and Android TV app stores. It's the app most Pakistani customers have already heard of, so recommending it means less explaining. If a customer isn't sure what they have, IBO is the safe default.
ORA Player is an excellent alternative, especially on TV models where IBO isn't in the store or a customer wants a second option. Setup is nearly identical, and for resellers there are ORA reseller credits that let you activate many customer devices from one balance.
Customer already using IBO or has a common Samsung/LG TV? Stick with IBO. IBO missing from their store, or you want bulk activations from one panel? Go ORA. Either way, keep both activation guides saved on your phone so you can help instantly.
To activate either player, send us the device's MAC address and device key (both shown on the app's home screen). Activation is usually done within minutes.
